Air Arabia suspends UAE flights until March 3 amid regional tensions
Lebanon and Iraq routes paused until March 4
SHARJAH – Air Arabia has extended sweeping flight suspensions as aviation disruptions ripple across the Middle East following recent military escalation.
The Sharjah-based carrier confirmed that all flights to and from the UAE remain suspended until 3pm UAE time on Tuesday, March 3.
The airline has also paused services to Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Iraq until March 4.
The decision comes as multiple countries across the region announced partial airspace closures, triggering widespread cancellations, diversions and operational uncertainty for airlines.
Airline’s statement
Air Arabia said its operational teams are closely monitoring the evolving situation. “Our teams continue to actively monitor the evolving situation. The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority,” the airline said in a statement.
Ongoing monitoring
The suspension forms part of a broader aviation slowdown that has affected major regional hubs and left tens of thousands of passengers stranded globally.
Authorities in the UAE have begun coordinating exceptional flight operations to assist affected travellers, though full normalisation of schedules remains dependent on regional security developments.
